Come get some laughs Zocalo Coffeehouse in a free stand-up comedy show featuring the latest local talent. Enjoy the show with some coffee, beer, or wine. Rudy Ortiz I'm a comic from San Leandro, CA. and I really enjoy going on stages and letting a room full of strangers judge me. Such a glutton for punishment. If their unconvinced faces crack a smile along the way then I suppose that all is forgiven. I worked in a liquor store for a long time so I saw a lot of weird things. I was also held up at gun point twice but was never shot. Now THAT, my friends, is what you call good crowd work. Emily Catalano Emily's comedy addresses a wide variety of life's most enjoyable topics: breakups, failed relationships, and ex-lovers. She is becoming known in San Francisco for her smart joke writing and her veritable dead pan delivery. Emily won first place at the 2017 Rooster T. Feathers New Talent Comedy Competition and was a featured performer in SF Sketchfest. Jason Anderson Jason Anderson is most well known for not getting his grandmother to stop talking about that one time he was on WeTV’s Bridezillas in 2008. His attempts to gain any other notoriety, whatsoever, led him to begin standup comedy in 2014, and journey to San Francisco for a 2015 appearance on HBO’s Silicon Valley. Upon hearing this news, his grandmother was quoted as saying, “What Valley?” Jason Anderson has also appeared on ABC10 and Good Day Sacramento, was JackFM’s Comic of the Month, and is the host of Wildcard, a monthly standup showcase at the Sacramento Comedy Spot. His grandmother wishes he would appear on WeTV more often. Brian Blanco Brian Blanco specializes in clean, friendly and energetic comedy. Having worked with Dana Carvey, Whitney Cummings and Pete Holmes, He has performed in Comedy clubs, and bars and bowling alleys all over the country. David Naimyar David Naimyar was born Dauood Mohammad Naimyar, but at a very young age he knew the value of assimilating. Because of this, he tried his best to not be different but failed at every encounter. Once he embraced his eccentric point of view he saw the humor all around him. David’s humor and comedic perspective is shaped by the duality of his constant need to fit in and be different. His search for being relatable and yet controversial has brought audiences joy for the last four years and will probably continue until he finally figures out who he is, which we hope he doesn’t cause bills need to be paid. K. Chheng K. Chheng has appeared at Cobb's, The Punchline, and The Comedy Store...not performing, he's just appeared there.
