Photos have stories to tell, like this photo of people picking rhubarb on a San Leandro farm. Do you have photos of San Leandro that might interest future generations and local history researchers?
The San Leandro Historical Society and the City of San Leandro Museum have teamed up to collect more photographs for the San Leandro Historical Photograph Collection. We will be scanning photos that meet collection criteria at the City of San Leandro History Museum on three different days. Please bring us your photos of San Leandro people, places, businesses, schools, homes, events. Please do not bring computer prints or photocopies, as the original photo needs to be scanned at a high resolution.
The San Leandro Historical Photograph Collection currently has about 2,500 photos, but very few from the 1950s to the present. We want to fill in the second half of the 20th century and recent events, but welcome older photographs, too.
