City of San Leandro Forgivable Loan Program for Small Businesses
Interested in opening a business or remodeling your existing business? Mariana Garcia will give a workshop on the City of San Leandro’s Forgivable Loan Programs that support small businesses through financial assistance for rehabilitation and upgrade of commercial buildings.
The City of San Leandro provides Broadband and Energy Efficiency forgivable loans for those businesses interested in connecting to the high-speed internet or becoming energy efficient.
Mariana Garcia is the Economic Development Specialist with the City of San Leandro. In this position, she manages business attraction and retention programs, facilitates strategic development projects, and serves as a liaison between businesses and the City. Specifically, Mariana manages the City of San Leandro Forgivable Loan Programs (Design Assistance Program, Commercial Façade Improvement Program, Awning, Sign and Paint Program, Restaurant Incentive Program, Craft Beverage Incentive Program, Broadband Assistance Program, and Energy Efficiency Incentive Program) walking business step by step through the application process. Mariana is responsible for reviewing applications and executing the Forgivable Loan Agreements with businesses in San Leandro.
Mariana has been with the City of San Leandro since 2017, previously working in San Diego as an Economic Development Specialist.
