A Non-Profit Is Still A Business featuring Rose Johnson of Davis Street Family Resource Center

Non-profits are often started from a place in someone’s heart to help others in need. These organizations change lives for people from all over, there should be a plan to grow and remain open to continue the good work.

Come hear Rose Johnson tell the story of the journey of Davis Street Family Resource Center and how they have continued to grow to meet the needs of the community.

Rose Padilla Johnson, a passionate San Leandro-based volunteer and nonprofit executive, serves as CEO of Davis Street, a position she has held since 1991. Leveraging positive relationships within the community as well as a strong business acumen, she has grown the organization into an all-encompassing family resource center with an operating budget of over $15 million annually. Once-small in scope, Davis Street now serves over 15,000 San Leandro and Alameda County residents each year under Ms. Johnson’s guidance.
